Please bear with me as I try to re-organize our blog in response to some recent changes made by blogger.com. I realize there are lots of dead links, especially in older posts.
I don't think I need to introduce ourselves here. The vast majority of those of you who read the blog already know us personally, and these people are who this blog is primarily made for.
This blog is not a publicity tool for us. This is why I've set it up to not come up as a result in search engines, this is why we don't have a link to it on our Facebook pages and this is why I don't try to make money off of it with ads. I have zero interest in being popular and I don't maintain this trying to get as many views as possible (I'm not so self-absorbed as to think our lives are that interesting to random readers!!) I maintain the blog as a diary for me, and as a means for our family and close friends to easily keep up with us.
I find it somewhat creepy that completely random strangers would know everything about our lives - especially if/when we have kids (another reason why I don't make this accessible to search engines), but I don't have a problem with family / friends of friends reading it. I actually find it flattering that several people who don't know us personally have stumbled across our site through one connection or another and have found it interesting enough that they keep coming back. As long as you come here knowing what to expect (i.e., posts about us and our life, and highly-subjective posts about other stuff that are interesting to us), feel free to return as often as you would like! It may be boring more often than not (heck, it's even boring for people who know us!) but just keep in mind this is not meant to be, nor was it ever set up to be, something for random readers.
I won't win any literature awards for my writing, but I write the way I talk (minus the French accent) and this is how I make my blog more personal. I want my family and friends to read the posts and feel like I'm talking to them. It wouldn't feel like me if I wrote in perfect prose.

Feel free to comment on posts, as long as you remain respectful. There is a 'Contact Form' available to you if you'd rather communicate with us in a more private manner.
